Opal desperately wants to fall in love and have a whirlwind romance, preferably with a human. So when he's rescued by a dashing knight, he thinks his day has finally come. There's just one problem: Tristan hates dragons. Opal isn't going to let something silly like that get in the way of his true love, though. Surely with a bit of wooing, some aphrodisiac dragon fluids, and an epic journey together, Tristan will see the error of his ways, and they can have their happily ever after.

Lost in grief, Tristan's only goal in life is to eradicate the monsters that killed his brother. He doesn't really want to babysit delicate Opal, who wears skirts and makeup and dreams of romance. Opal is strange, his stories don't make sense, and he's weirdly shy and lustful at the same time... yet he's sweet, and his kisses are addictive, and he makes Tristan's heart flutter.

Opal is sure theirs is a romantic story for the ages--but his secret might drive them apart for good.

The Dragon and His Knight is a standalone set in the Monster's Pet universe. It is not necessary to read The Monster's Pet trilogy before diving in to Opal's story!
